Simon Blacoe

With more than 20 years of experience in the cruise industry, Simon joined Azamara Cruises in 2022, bringing extensive operational and guest-experience expertise from senior roles across Cunard Line, Royal Caribbean International, and Carnival Australia.

Simon began his career as part of the inaugural team aboard the Queen Mary 2, starting as a bar waiter before progressing through leadership roles in Food & Beverage Operations with Royal Caribbean. He later transitioned shoreside as Director of F&B Operations for the APAC market, overseeing fleet operations while based in Shanghai, China.

He subsequently relocated to Sydney with his family to serve as Director of Guest Experience for P&O Cruises Australia before returning to Cunard in 2020 as Director of Brand & Product Development.

Today, Simon brings a truly global perspective to his role at Azamara Cruises, where he oversees all aspects of Hotel Operations and the guest journey onboard. Working closely with teams and partners across multiple markets, he focuses on delivering exceptional experiences whilst continuing to drive Azamara’s leadership in small ship, Destination Immersion cruises. 

Having lived and worked across several countries throughout his career, Simon now resides in Weybridge, England with his wife, Viki, and their three children.
